Originally from Pennsylvania, Lisa was a traveler before she set foot in Oregon. She has lived in Oregon for 15 years now and couldn’t image calling any place else home. She graduated from Oregon College of Oriental Medicine with her master’s degree and did her undergraduate work at Oregon State University. Lisa was licensed in acupuncture and herbal medicine by the Oregon Medical Board and National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She has spent her time studying various modalities of Chinese medicine, including acupuncture, gua sha, tui na massage, fire cupping, and herbs. Lisa believes that the body’s innate ability to heal lies in finding that balance and harmony within. She can offer you tools and guidance for you to be empowered on your own path and help you to achieve your best health.

John earned his Master’s Degree in Acupuncture at New York City’s renowned Tri-State College of Acupuncture, where he extensively trained under Sensei Kiiko Matsumoto and Dr. Mark Seem. The Kiiko Matsumoto Style of acupuncture stems from the Japanese Master acupuncturists, and Dr. Seem is the developer of Acupuncture Physical Medicine, which is also a palpation-based acupuncture style that is known for addressing myofascial trigger points and stress-holding patterns.  In NYC, John also learned Traditional Chinese Acupuncture among other Oriental Medicine modalities.  He continues to study medical bodywork and acupuncture styles that engage both Eastern and Western diagnostic and treatment mindsets.

Prior to acupuncture school, he enthusiastically attended schools to study Classical Homeopathy, Culinary Arts, and Anthropology.  Sometimes John may suggest nutritional or dietary advice, or homeopathic remedies.

John lives in Northeast Portland. Aside from Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, his passions include spending time outdoors in whitewater rivers, on hiking and biking trails, in the garden, at a farmer’s market, or sharing good times with friends.  He really enjoys all things food and cooks from scratch, including his own recipes for hot sauces and five-day bone broths.

He is a Certified Diplomat in Acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM)  and is licensed to practice in Oregon, Washington, and New York.  Please feel free to contact him if you have any questions about acupuncture whatsoever.
